NurseZone
Recognized With Best Site Design and Best Health/Health Care Content Awards by
eHealthcare Strategy & Trends at Annual Conference
San Diego, CA - (November 30, 2001) - NurseZone
(www.nursezone.com), the extensive online professional and personal resource for
nurses, today announced it has been chosen as a winner of the eHealthcare
Leadership Awards. NurseZone won two awards, one for Best Health/Health Care
Content and one for Best Site Design in the Physician/Clinician-focused site
category.
Sponsored by eHealthcare Strategy & Trends,
the eHealthcare Leadership Awards recognize the very best Web sites of health
care organizations. NurseZone, along with the other winners, was
recognized at a luncheon presentation in Las Vegas recently, during the Sixth
Annual Healthcare Internet and Technology Conference.
"The response was overwhelming," said
Mark Gothberg, eHealthcare Leadership Awards chairman, noting the large number
of entries and winners. "Entries this year reflected greater sophistication
overall and more e-business and disease management development in particular.
Health care content has also seen significant improvement. Many excellent sites
did not win."
"We consider it a great honor that NurseZone
received these two awards," said Wendy Newman, site director. "NurseZone
was established as a community that addresses the needs of nurses, both
professionally and personally. These awards serve as a reinforcement that we are
achieving our goal, and we are very excited about that."
Judges looked at how sites compared with others
in their classification. They also reviewed sites based on a proprietary
multi-point standard of Internet excellence. Winners of platinum, gold, silver,
and distinction awards represented 15 industry classifications, from hospitals
and health systems to pharmaceutical firms and online health companies. Awards
were given in six categories, which included best site design, best interactive
site, best health/healthcare content, best e-business site, best care/disease
management site and best overall Internet site.
