From the marquees on Broadway to the peaks of the Adirondacks, the Empire State offers a variety of things to see and do. The state is divided into two parts: New York City and Upstate. While New York City is filled with an endless array of attractions, outside the city there are 4,000 lakes and ponds and 70,000 miles of rivers and streams. New York is also home to 150 state parks and roaring Niagara Falls. This state has as many personalities as the people who live there—it is a unique place in which you can choose to do everything or absolutely nothing at all, and still have a great time.
